Update for CinCityCon Boardgame and RPG Convention

Hello Everyone! Big Update on CinCityCon

The Good News

CinCityCon is still going on this Oct. 1st to 3rd, 2021 at the Sharonville Convention Center.  You can register for badges, submit events and hopefully by the end of this weekend, get a table for Entrepreneurs or Game Demos!   We are working on a better system for vending spaces, so this may take a little longer.

The Bad News

Our web developer and other managing partner Greg, has moved to the other side of the country and is no longer involved with the convention.  Because of this we will be not be using the website as our primary form of communication.  So not all of the info. here is current.

He also took some of the huge library with him (they were his games), thus uur library has now been downgraded to Large. Most of the games were not current or hot games, so we feel like the impact will be minimal. We have actually used this as an opportunity to update our library with some new games, many donated by our awesome supporters!  Woot!

Greg will be missed, he just felt it was too far to come to try to particpate in the convention.

The Good/Bad News

We will be requiring everyone 12 and older to be vaccinated to attend CinCityCon 2021!  While this may make many people happy, I know some of you will be very disappointed about this development.  We are doing it for the safety of everyone attending and it is our only reason for implementing this policy.  We are sorry if this affects you negatively, “Really Sorry”.  We don’t want to exclude anyone from the convention if we can.

Everyone will need to show proof of vaccination to get their badge/vend at CinCityCon the days of the convention.  The good news (for now) is that unless things change significantly, we will not require mask wearing since everyone attending will be vaccinated.

We checked and the following are not applicable for asking people to show proof of vaccination to attend a convention:

  • It is not a HIPAA Violation.
  • It is not illegal.
  • It is not a violation of civil rights.

There are other cons this weekend that are not requiring vaccination, so there are alternatives.  We apologize again if it inconveniences anyone.
