Experienced Gamers

Welcome Gamers.  CinCityCon will be a Mecca for experienced gamers with lots of great activities throughout the weekend, starting Fri. early afternoon and ending Sunday evening.  CinCityCon plans to have lots of great events this year including Tournaments, Learn to Play Boardgames, Hot Games, Access to our Ginormous Boardgaming Library, Vendors, Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, LARPs, Cosplay, RPGs, Miniatures, Adult Game Parties…

Catan at Lexicon

National Qualifying Tournaments – It is our intent to hold Qualifiers for Settlers of Catan, Pandemic Survival, King of Tokyo, and Carcassonne.  Due to recent consolidations in the gaming publisher’s world, we will not know whether these tournaments will still be National Qualifiers or just run for the convention.  Either way, we will have great prizes for the winners!  And FYI, if you have not done Pandemic Survival, it is a blast; two person teams pitted against up to 7 other teams at a time.

Informal Tournaments – We plan to have several including Splendor and Ticket to Ride.  We are working on having some others like Netrunner and of course Miniature Tournaments.

Learn to Play Games – We will be scheduling events and demos throughout the weekend.  There will be events where we do a full run through of the games and other times where someone will get people started on playing a gaming and assisting as needed.  These will be new games and some old favorites.

Hot Games – It is our goal to get the best games from GenCon and Origins to have available and teach at CinCityCon.

RPGs – We have already lined up some GMs for Pathfinder, Dungeons & Dragons, Shadowrun, Savage Worlds and others… We will be adding other events as we get closer to CinCityCon 2017.  RPGs have always been a significant part of our conventions.

Miniatures – We anticipate having many miniatures games at the conventions including Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Fantasy, Warmachine/Hordes, Guild Ball, and many others.

Vendors – our goal is to have a large amount of gaming vendors and specialty vendors at the convention.  We will also have game designer tables and artist/author tables at the convention.

Giant Werewolf at Lexicon

Friday and Saturday Adult Parties – We enjoy hosting great parties on Friday and Saturday night. Our goal is to have a beverage sponsor or two and have a lot of fun adult oriented games and activities.  We might even have a ball and/or band; we are working on the details!

Ginormous Gaming Library – CinCityCon will have one of the largest gaming libraries in the region, with access to over 1,400 games to check out, and it is included in the price of your admission!

Game Designer Events – We plan on supporting games designers at this convention, providing them tables to demo their games and events tailored their needs.

Special Events

  • Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator is 90 minutes of fun for a group of people that wanted to explore and fight in their own Starship!
  • A Cosplay Contest will be held over the weekend and there will be special incentives to encourage people to dress up, even just a little!
  • We would like to hold several LARPing events and in the past have held Dr. Who and Vampire Masquerade LARPs at our other conventions.
